19 December: Heineken Cup citings

An independent disciplinary committee will convene in Dublin on Monday, 5 January to hear two citing complaints lodged following Round 2 of the Heineken Cup.

Christophe Porcu (Perpignan) was cited by Celtic Warriors for three alleged incidents of punching, while Dan Baugh (Cardiff Blues) was cited by Leinster Lions for alleged stamping and kicking an opponent's head.

17 December: Dragons back on track

The board for the Dragons has met for the first time since the region went into administration.

It pledged support for community rugby projects throughout Gwent and appealed for large crowds to help the Dragons' Heineken Cup campaign.

Newport backer Tony Brown's Bisley furniture suppliers will remain the shirt sponsors.

12 December: Tigers sign China captain

Leicester have signed Chinese national team captain Johnny Zhang on a month's trial.

The 29-year-old full-back landed in England on Thursday before taking part in his first training session at Oval Park.
