Glasgow rugby merger plan
Two rugby clubs are considering a merger in a bid to challenge Glasgow Hawks for supremacy in Scotland's largest city.

Officials from Glasgow Southern and Hutchesons Aloysians will meet on Tuesday to discuss the move.

Hutchesons Aloysians have a strong playing squad that is streaking away with the BT Scotland Premier League Division 3 title.

Southern are sitting sixth in the same division, but their main strength is their facilities.

Hawks were themselves the product of a merger and quickly rose through the ranks and this season lie fifth in Division 1.
