Bristol 43-22 Wasps

Wasps, who trailed by only a point at half time, fell apart in the second half and slumped to a heavy defeat at Bristol.

The London club stay bottom of the Zurich Premiership table after this fifth straight defeat, increasing the pressure on director of rugby Nigel Melville.

I don't feel any satisfaction about causing problems for Nigel

Bristol coach

Shane Drahm gave Bristol a 6-0 lead with two penalties before Kenny Logan got Melville's team on the scoreboard.

Joe Worsley then crossed for a try that gave Wasps the lead - but it did not last long as Drahm's drop goal just before the break gave Bristol a 9-8 half-time lead.

Fraser Waters gave Wasps hope less than a minute after the resumption when he scored a converted try.

But a penalty try a couple of minutes later undid the good work from the visitors and another penalty from Drahm on 46 minutes gave the home side some breathing space.

Substitute winger Luke Nabaro sealed an impressive return from injury with Bristol's third try.

Felipe Contepomi sealed Wasps' fate, as well as a bonus point for the home side, as he scored late converted tries on 68 and 78 minutes as well as a penalty.

Despite having conceded more points - 105 - at home than any other Premiership team, Bristol move up to fifth with this win, their third of the season.
