Hazem El Masri is fit to play in Lebanon's opener
Lebanon's Hazem El Masri, nicknamed 'El Magic', has been passed fit to play in his team's opening Lincoln World Cup match against New Zealand at Gloucester on Sunday.

The Lebanese training has been disrupted this week by injury and illness, with officials calling out a doctor to treat prop forward Monah Elahmad for a bad case of flu.

But coach John Elias was able to select from full strength when he named his 17-man squad on Friday.

Manager George Elias said: "Hazem strained a bit of a muscle but he's OK and Mick Coorey had a twist in his ankle but he's also fine."

Team (from): Chamoun (Sydney Bulls), Coorey (Balmain), Elahmad (Cabramatta), S El Masri (Sydney City), H El Masri (Canterbury), Katrib (Sydney Bulls), Khoury (Canterbury), Lichaa (Sydney City), Maroon (Sydney Bulls), Najjarin (St George Illawarra), Nohra (Sydney Bulls), H Saleh (Canterbury), Salem (Sydney Bulls), Semrani (Canterbury), Stanton (Erina), Tamer (unattached), Touma (Sydney Bulls).
