Tuson made his Wigan debut against Leeds Rhinos in 2008
Wigan Warriors second-row forward Chris Tuson has signed a new two-year contract with the Super League club.
The 20-year-old spent time on loan at Castleford last season before returning to the Warriors, going on to make 15 appearances and score two tries.
He joined Wigan in 2006 and has progressed through the club's academy.
Head coach Michael Maguire said: "Chris is one of a number of young, quality local players in our squad who has continued to show real potential."
"He has a magnificent attitude and I am sure he will continue to develop with the more experienced players around him," he added.
The player himself said: "I am thrilled to have secured my long-term future with Wigan and am looking forward to being a part of the squad as the club looks to build on the Grand Final success of 2010.
"There is stiff competition for places in the seventeen each week but I will do all I can to try and impress and earn my selection."
The new contract expires in 2012 but has an option for a further year.
