George Carmont has spent three seasons at Wigan from Newcastle Knights in 2007
Wigan Warriors centre George Carmont has signed a new one-year deal with the Super League champions.
The 32-year-old Samoa international, signed from Newcastle Knights in 2007, penned a 12-month deal last year with a further year dependant on appearances.
He scored 10 Super League tries in 31 games as Wigan enjoyed their first Grand Final victory in 12 years.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with Wigan. The Grand Final was one of the highlights of my career," said Carmont.
"My family and I are really settled. I was always keen to stay and play for Wigan for as long as possible."
He has proved to be a magnificent capture and an important part of the team
Wigan chairman Ian Lenagan
Head coach Michael Maguire said: "George is a terrific player with a wonderful attitude. We know he will be keen to help the side build on the Grand Final success of 2010.
"He is a model professional, who the young players in the squad look up to."
Chairman Ian Lenagan said: "We are delighted that we have agreed a contract for next season with George.
"He was originally brought to the club on a short-term deal but, since his arrival in 2008, he has made 94 appearances scoring 41 tries. He has proved to be a magnificent capture and an important part of the team."
