Wigan captain Sean O'Loughlin has signed a new four-year contract that will keep him at the JJB Stadium until the end of the 2012 season.
The 25-year-old's current deal was due to run out this year but he has now committed his future to the Warriors.
"I'm thrilled to have agreed a new deal with the club and that my future has been secured," said the loose forward.
"It is an honour to play for Wigan and captain the side and I would never want to play for any other club."
O'Loughlin's debut for the Warriors came in 2002 and the Great Britain international has made over 135 appearances for the club.
