Luke Davico, who was released by Wigan in February, is to make a comeback with Australian club Newcastle Knights.

The 31-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the Knights and will undergo a medical in Newcastle on Saturday.

Davico tore a pectoral muscle during a Wigan friendly in January and left the Warriors without playing a game.

"Being part of the next two campaigns alongside the likes of Danny Buderus and Andrew Johns is something I am very much looking forward to," said Davico.
