Grix to undergo shoulder surgery

Grix has missed Warrington's last three games

Warrington utility player Simon Grix will be out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

The 23-year-old, who has made 19 appearances this season, will undergo surgery later this week.

Coach Tony Smith confirmed the news at a press conference ahead of Saturday's Challenge Cup final against Huddersfield at Wembley.

As well as Grix, winger Brian Carney, prop Paul Wood and hooker Mickey Higham are out of contention for the game.
