Warrington have captured New Zealand Test player Vinnie Anderson from St Helens on a three-year deal.
Anderson missed both of Saints' biggest games this year
Wolves have paid Saints £50,000 for the 27-year-old centre or second row, who had another year left on his contract at Knowsley Road.
Anderson will join Great Britain forwards Adrian Morley and Paul Johnson at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Coach Paul Cullen said: "Vinnie is a player of international standard whose talents will be a great asset."
Anderson made 40 appearances for St Helens but was left out of the team for both the Challenge Cup final in August and last Saturday's Grand Final.
He won the last of his six caps in New Zealand's 46-14 defeat by Great Britain at Knowsley Road in June.
Anderson added: "Warrington had a good season this year and have made good signings for next season.
"They are definitely a team on the rise with high goals and I want to be a part of that."
