Demetriou has become a fans' favourite at Belle Vue

Wakefield skipper Jason Demetriou has signed a 12-month contract extension that will keep him at Belle Vue until the end of the 2008 season.
The 31-year-old joined from Widnes in 2004 and after helping them avoid relegation last season, has been an ever-present in Super League XII.
"At the end of last season Jason proved himself to be a true leader," said Wakefield coach John Kear.
"As captain this season, he's been one of our most consistent performers."
