Harlequins half-backs have helped me - Andy Ellis

Harlequins hooker Andy Ellis says the team's half-backs have helped to make him much more confident this season.

Ellis missed the opening few months of the 2010 campaign, after joining from Barrow, with a shoulder injury.

"Sometimes you end up getting calls from three or four different people," he told BBC London 94.9, "You have to take the right one.

"Working with Galey [Luke Gale] and Chad [Randall] throughout pre-season has given me that confidence to do it."

He added: "They've given me a sort of ownership on the role, which enables me to do what I want and to put the ball wherever it needs to be."

Quins had a blistering start to the season, but have lost their last two games by an aggregate of 122 points to 36.

Ellis s the squad have had a tough few weeks at training, but is confident results will start to go their way again soon.

"We had that disappointing game against Warrington and this week against Hull FC where we should have closed the game off.

"We know what to do, we take each week separately, with new goals, a new set of ideas and hopefully improve from last week."
