Harlequins centre Tony Clubb has been banned for two matches and fined £300 after being found guilty of an illegal tackle on St Helens' Kyle Eastmond.

The 22-year-old was charged on video evidence for a head slam tackle on Eastmond during the 24-44 defeat to Saints at The Stoop on 25 July.

Clubb had pleaded not guilty to the Rugby League disciplinary committee.

Meanwhile, Salford forward Ian Sibbit was found not guilty of making a high tackle on Warrington's Brian Carney.

Sibbit, 28, clashed with winger Carney during the Wolves' 62-20 home victory over the Reds on 26 July.

The disciplinary committee also ruled no further action was required against Ryan Clayton after the Castleford second row admitted tripping Wakefield half-back Sam Obst in the Tigers' 20-12 win at Belle Vue on 26 July.

The committee accepted Clayton's defence, that he put out his leg to stop the ball being kicked and charge it down rather than to trip Obst.
