Harlequins chairman Keith Hogg says the club is in good shape despite losing their chief executive Paul Brown.
Brown, who has been unwell for some considerable time, has decided to leave the club due to poor health.
But Hogg remains confident about the Quins' prospects and is upbeat about strengthening their squad.
Hogg told BBC London 94.9: "We are in a very good place in terms of recruiting for next year. We are probably in the best place we've ever been."
Brown joined Quins in October 2007 and played an instrumental part in helping the club obtain a Super League licence.
The club are actively looking for a replacement and say an announcement regarding his successor will be made in due course.
And the search for new players is also continuing.
Hogg added: "We want a stronger squad for next year than we have this year and we're in a good position to achieve that."
