Harlequins stand-off Tim Hartley has joined National League side Halifax after just one year with the London club.
The 20-year-old former Salford player was tipped to make a big impression in the capital but only managed to make two appearances.
"Tim is potentially a great signing for us," said Halifax coach Martin Hall.
"I am very excited to have been able to sign a very talented player who has his best years still in front of him."
Hartley's departure leaves Quins looking short of numbers after the recent loss of Solomon Haumono and Sione Faumuina.
