Senior joined Leeds from Sheffield Eagles in 1999
The Rugby Football League have charged Leeds centre Keith Senior with breaching operational rules after comments he made about a match referee.
Senior called World Club Challenge official Richard Silverwood "arrogant" following the Rhinos' 18-10 loss to Melbourne at Elland Road on Sunday.
The England international immediately apologised for the remarks.
But he will still appear before an RFL tribunal next Wednesday (10 March) to answer the charges.
Senior met with Rhinos chief executive Gary Hetherington on Monday to explain his comments and to ascertain whether any action should be taken as part of the club's internal disciplinary procedures.
Having had time to reflect on my comments, I appreciate that, like us players, referees have a difficult job to do and we do not have a game without them

"I would like to apologise for any offence caused by my comments, said Senior, in a club statement late on Sunday night.
"Unfortunately, I let my emotions get the better of me.
