Hull KR to unveil Willie Mason next week

Hull KR have called a news conference to finally unveil Australia forward Willie Mason on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old agreed a two-year deal in September but red tape caused the move to be delayed and he has missed the start of the season.

He obtained a Tongan passport, through his mother, meaning he did not count as part of the overseas quota but he still needed to get a visa.

Rovers are selling the chance to watch the conference and to see him train.

The New Zealand-born player, who stands at 6ft 4in and weighs 18st, has played for Tonga and Australia at international level and for Canterbury Bulldogs, Sydney Roosters and North Queensland.

The Robins are charging £2 to watch the news conference from the club's bar and £5 to watch their last training session on 12 March before the game with Crusaders.
