Webster has impressed head coach Richard Agar since he took up his role
Hull FC assistant coach James Webster will stay on next season after being handed a one-year contract.
Webster, who also played half-back for Hull KR, Widnes and Parramatta Eels, had been on a short-term deal after returning to the club mid-season.
He said: "It's been a steep learning curve and I've had to learn quickly.
"It is a great environment to be in. That's credit to people behind the scenes and is one of the reasons why we have had a successful season so far."
Hull FC head coach Richard Agar added: "He has done a good job since he has been with us and is very hard working, conscientious and a smart operator.
"He has contributed greatly to our group since he has been here and is a very good young coach in the making."
