Hull FC name Moore as assistant

Richard Agar
Coach Richard Agar believes Moore will bring valuable experience to the club

Hull FC have ended their search for an assistant coach with the appointment of Australian Dennis Moore.

The 55-year-old has moved to the KC Stadium on a one-year contract and is a former assistant at NRL side Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

Black & Whites coach Richard Agar told BBC Radio Humberside: "Dennis comes in with a wealth of experience.

"I'm sure he'll add vastly to our coaching staff and he has been in and around a top club in Australia."

Moore comes in after Hull FC released director of rugby Jon Sharp with more than a year left on his contract.

And Agar believes the former Queensland under-19's coach has plenty to offer.

"Dennis is highly thought of in Australia and he knows all about Hull FC and the players," he said.

"He's told me he can't wait to get started. He'll be getting on a plane as soon as possible and will be here early next week."
