Huddersfield Giants prop Eorl Crabtree has targeted 2011 as the season he becomes a regular in the England team.

The 28-year-old was frustrated by his lack of game time for England during the Four Nations in the autumn.

Crabtree told BBC Radio Leeds: "I was disappointed by the lack of success I had with England last year.

"I hope to play more in an England shirt in the future. I want to do better for them and become more permanent in the England team."

Crabtree concluded his testimonial year with an 18-10 victory over Hull Kingston Rovers at the Galpharm Stadium on Sunday.

Just short of 3,500 watched the match, which also served as a key warm-up game for the Giants, who fielded their strongest side.

Crabtree's original testimonial game against Halifax in January 2010 was called off because of snow.

But the England forward did not mind having to wait 12 months for his moment in the spotlight.

"It was an absolutely fantastic experience," he added. "I can't believe I've got to this stage.

"I still remember playing in the academy and now I'm here having played over 250 games for the Giants after 10 years. I'm here for another five at least and can't wait for it to continue.

"It's been a great year and I'd like to thank everyone that has been involved with it.

"I've had a great reception with it all, the fans have been great and I just hope I can pay them back in years to come."
