Walsh pens deal with Huddersfield

Walsh is looking to impress new Giants coach Nathan Brown

Huddersfield have signed back-row forward Joe Walsh on a one-year deal for the 2009 Super League season.

The 20-year-old joins the Giants from Harlequins following a short loan spell with National League 1 side Halifax.

Huddersfield, who finished 10th in the Super League table, will be coached by Australian Nathan Brown next season.

"It's a great opportunity for me," said Walsh. "With Nathan arriving everyone is on a level playing field and it's a chance for me to settle at the club."
