Crusaders have signed second row Paul Johnson after he was released by rival Super League club Wakefield.

The 31-year-old former Great Britain international joined Wakefield from Warrington in September 2009.

Johnson has also previously played for Wigan and Bradford, both of whom he won Super League championships with.

Meanwhile, South Wales Scorpions will be looking for a new head coach for 2011 as Anthony Seibold has decided to return to Australia.

Seibold led the Scorpions to the Co-operative Championship One play-offs in their first season in rugby league.

His achievements saw him named as 2010 Co-operative Championship One Coach of the Year.

But Seibold has accepted a job in Queensland for 2011 as head coach of Mackay Cutters, the feeder club to NRL side North Queensland Cowboys.
