Crusaders hand contract to Kear

Kear came through the ranks at the Cardiff Demons

Celtic Crusaders have given a full-time contract full-back Elliot Kear.

Kear, 20, who played the last three Super League matches of the season for the Crusaders, has been named in the Wales squad to face England this month.

"It's like a dream come true for me," he said. "It feels like that all the hard work that my dad and I have put in has finally paid off.

"I can't wait for next year now but the next big thing for me is trying to get in the team for the England game."
