Turner's Crusaders are bottom of Super League

Celtic Crusaders chief executive Mike Turner has insisted the club will compete in Super League for 2010. Concerns were raised after the Rugby Football League confirmed they were offering support to the club. "We are planning for 2010. We are looking to recruit players for 2010 and everything is in place for that," he told the BBC's Super League Show. "We've had some help, but so did the Catalans in their first season and so have Harlequins in the past." Turner added: "We've had some marketing help, which has helped me market games both here at home and when we take our games on the road around Wales, while Steve Ferres is helping us with recruitment."

The club currently play at The Brewery Field in Bridgend, but could move to venues such as Newport, Cardiff or Wrexham in order to increase attendances. "We need to increase the gates and we are looking to take games on the road to do that," explained Turner. "We have a whole country to go at and are looking to take a game out to Wrexham at least for next season and possible a few more on the road too. "We are the sole representatives of Super League in Wales, so it's our duty to promote the game throughout the whole country." Rugby league fans can watch the Super League Show again via the Red Button or BBC iPlayer.
