Tigers await crowd trouble report

Castleford Tigers

Castleford Tigers could be in hot water if match officials from Saturday's game with Catalans Dragons report crowd trouble to the Rugby Football League.

Bottles were hurled onto the pitch and Dragons players had beer thrown at them during the visitors' win at the Jungle.

Tigers fans were furious with some of match referee Ian Smith's decisions.

An RFL spokesman said: "We are aware of the incidents but cannot comment until we have received reports from the referee and match commissioner."

Home fans felt two Dragons tries should have been referred to the video referee while Dane Carlaw's clincher came after a controversial penalty.

Smith had to be escorted from the field by a steward after the game.
