Castleford have signed Hull prop Liam Higgins on a two-year deal, starting next season.
The 23-year-old, who is a Hull academy product, has made just five Super League appearances as substitute this season after suffering from mumps.
"This will be a new challenge for me," he said.
"I have missed a good chunk of this season with illness but that is fully behind me and I'm looking to kick on next year with the Tigers."
