Bulls hand trial to union winger

Bradford have handed a four-game trial to Newcastle Falcons winger John Rudd.

The 28-year-old, who has represented England Saxons, will make his debut in Sunday's reserves game against Wigan.

"He's a big winger at 6ft 1in and 108kg, and he's had some success in union, playing for England Saxons last year," said Bulls coach Steve McNamara.

"But he's always been a big league fan. We're more than pleased to accommodate him and have a look at him in practice and matches."
