Bradford Bulls centre Paul Sykes has signed a new one-year deal with the club which runs until the end of the 2010 season. Sykes first joined the club as a junior in 1998 before moving to London Bronco's in 2002 after finding first-team opportunities at Odsal limited. Since his return at the start of last season, he has made 46 appearances, scoring 23 tries and kicking 19 goals. "Paul is a valued member of our squad," said Bulls coach Steve McNamara. "His versatility plus the fact he is a home-grown player meant it was important we kept him here. "Paul is someone who continues striving to try to improve his game and we are delighted he'll continue at the Bradford Bulls." Sykes is also delighted to be staying at a club he first joined over 10 years ago. "I always wanted to stay here," he told the club website. "I am just glad it's done and dusted. I'm very pleased. I've enjoyed my time at Bradford and I'm settled at this club so it's great to be able to sign for another year."
