McNamara wants better from Bulls

Bradford head coach Steve McNamara says he will get to the bottom of why his players performed so poorly in their shock defeat by Celtic Crusaders.

The Bulls went down 30-24 at the Grattan Stadium to give the Welsh side their first Super League ever win.

"Too many people were distracted for one reason or another," McNamara told BBC Radio Leeds.

"I need to get to the bottom of that very quickly because it is not acceptable," he added.

The Bulls have beaten Leeds Rhinos at home and St Helens away, but have also suffered surprise home defeats by Huddersfield, Warrington, Hull FC and now the Crusaders.

McNamara explained: "We were certainly not complacent against Celtic, we prepared very hard during the week.

"Some players tried hard, but too many players didn't do enough and weren't on their game.

"It is happening to us far too much, we really need to become more consistent.

"The short turn around to face Salford on Friday night is actually a good thing for us I think.

"We are already looking forward to that one and the chance to put things right."
