Brian Carney had a brief spell with Warrington last season

BBC Radio 5 live sports extra will be at the GPW Recruitment Stadium on Friday for commentary on the Super League game between St Helens and Warrington.

St Helens have a superb record at their home ground against Warrington but the Wolves have looked impressive this season so far and will be hoping to come away with a rare win.

Commentators Stuart Pyke and David Oates will be joined from 1955 GMT by ex-Wigan and Warrington winger Brian Carney.

There will also be reports from Wrexham with Gareth Thomas set to make his Crusaders against the Catalans Dragons while at half-time, there will be an interview with Wigan coach Michael Maguire.
