Bradford got their engage Super League campaign back on track with a six-try defeat of play-off rivals Hull.

The Bulls dominated the game and led 22-2 at the break with tries from Brad Meyers, Brett Ferres and Leon Pryce.

The home side threatened a comeback at the start of the second half when Gareth Carvell touched down.

But Bradford were not to be denied, Paul Deacon kicking 18 points and Stuart Reardon, Karl Pryce and Leon Pryce adding another three tries.

"We were very pleased at half-time," said man-of-the-match Deacon.

"We let if slip a little in the second half but it's a tough place to come. We are made up with the two points."

The Bulls face St Helens in their next game, with coach Brian Noble admitting his team will need to be at their best again if they are to grab another win.

John Kear praises Bradford

"That's another step up for us and I think we are ready," said the Great Britain boss.

Hull boss John Kear was hugely disappointed with the defeat but heaped praise on the visitors.

"You've got to applaud Bradford for the way they performed," he said.

"They came here with great steel and resolve and blew us apart in the first half.

"We've come off four wins so perhaps we've gone a little soft mentally.

"We've got to be tougher and make sure we front up because we've got a heck of a game next Friday against Leeds."
