Lesley Vainikolo marked his 100th game with two late tries as Bradford staged a superb fightback to earn a seventh straight win and go third in the table.

Huddersfield looked on course for their first win at Odsal in 36 years when they led 34-18 after an hour.

But Vainikolo led the recovery which saw The Bulls grab six tries in the final 20 minutes to snatch victory.

Adrian Morley made little impact on his debut but Paul Deacon was in form, landing eight goals from nine attempts.

  • Bradford coach Brian Noble:
"Adrian Morley has said he was completely off the pace, which is not surprising. He's flown around the world and it's not an easy task.

"We know we'll get a whole lot more out of Adrian and he knows that.

"It was a strange afternoon. I thought we were a little bit flat which wasn't totally unexpected but we were awesome at the start of the second half."

  • Huddersfield coach Jon Sharp:
"I'm extremely disappointed that we didn't come away with the win. We certainly played our part fully in a great contest.

"We just ran out of numbers but I thought over 80 minutes we just about edged it.

"Eorl Crabtree's form in front of the Great Britain coach hasn't done him any harm and he was strong in the tackle."

Bradford: Withers, L Pryce, B Harris, Hape, Vainikolo, I Harris, Deacon, Peacock, Henderson, Fielden, Johnson, Meyers, Radford.
    Replacements: Vagana, Paul, Lynch, Morley.

Huddersfield: St Hilaire, O'Hare, Evans, De Vere, Greenwood, Thorman, Gene, Jackson, Drew, Gannon, Nero, S. Jones, Crabtree.
    Replacements: March, Smith, Grayshon, McDonald.
