Hull forward Richard Fletcher has agreed a new three-year contract with the club.
The Hull-born second rower, who joined the club in 1998, has impressed after earning a regular place this season.
Hull coach Shaun McRae said: "It's a fitting reward for Richard's services and loyalty to the club over the last five years.
"He has shown increased development and maturity at Super League standard and he's more than earned this reward."
Fletcher, 22, who is a former Great Britain Academy player, has been sent off twice this season.
"I'm a local lad who was born and bred in Hull and, after considering several offers from other clubs, I'm very happy to be staying with my hometown club," he said.
