Castleford's proposed new stadium has moved a step closer after developers Waystone submitted a planning application for a £75m complex.
Wakefield Metropolitan Borough Council will consider plans for a 13,000-capacity stadium, together with an office park and hotel.
Castleford chief executive Richard Wright said the planning application is a "massive step" towards a new ground.
It would be situated on the old Glasshoughton colliery by the M62.
