Kris Radlinski led the tributes to popular Kiwi Frank Endacott, crowned the Super League Coach of the Year in Manchester on Wednesday night.

Endacott steered Wigan to a top-spot finish at the end of the regular season and only arch rivals St Helens, their opponents in Saturday's Super League Grand Final, stand in their way of a second championship in three years.

The arrival of "Happy Frank" has, according to England full-back Radlinski, brought a breath of fresh air to a club that was in danger of stagnation.

"His enthusiasm is infectious," said Radlinski. "Everyone loves coming to training. It's not like a job, it's like going out with your mates.

"I don't think I've enjoyed a season as much as this one. He shows so much faith in you.

"He has given me a free role and so much advice and I have learned a lot more this time."
