Menzies' 14 tries is the best return by a Super League forward this season

Veteran Aussie forward Steve Menzies snaffled another two tries as Catalan Dragons brushed aside Hull KR in their elimination play-off in Perpignan.

Winger Damien Blanch enjoyed a treble as the Dragons atoned for their 30-28 defeat by Rovers a fortnight ago.

Daryl Millard, Sebastien Raguin, Eloi Pelissier, Cyril Stacul and Clint Greenshields got the other home tries.

Craig Hall's early second-half try at least avoided Rovers a 'nilling' in Justin Morgan's last game in charge.

It was also 'au revoir' in the South of France for several Rovers players, skipper Mick Vella, fellow forwards Clint Newton and hooker Ben Fisher and full-back Shaun Briscoe, playing his 100th game for the Robins before he moves to Widnes next season.

But there was no happy ending for Morgan and his men as the Dragons, so impressive on their own soil this season, put things right after successive home defeats with this 10-try romp - their biggest win of the Super League XVI campaign.

Victory earned the French side a preliminary semi-final trip to England next weekend against Wigan.

Hull KR coach Justin Morgan:

"It was a tough way to go out. We possibly saved our worst performance of the season for tonight. We were chasing our tails from minute one.

"They had a lot of possession and, when we had it, we didn't respect the ball enough. It was possibly a bridge too far and obviously we didn't perform tonight.

"Next year is a new year and I'm sure the ones that are playing for Hull KR will learn from the experience of playing here tonight."
