Wigan (24) 52 Tries:Leuluai 2, Coley, Carmont, Deacon, Tomkins 2, O'Loughlin, Richards Goals: Richards 8 Barrow (0) 0
Super League champions Wigan eased past Barrow to book their place in the fifth round of the Challenge Cup.
The Warriors ran in nine tries, Pat Richards kicking eight goals in an individual haul of 20 points.
Thomas Leuluai, Andy Coley, George Carmont and Paul Deacon crossed to give Wigan a 24-0 half-time lead.
The one-way traffic continued after the break, as Sam Tomkins (2), skipper Sean O'Loughlin, Leuluai and Richards heaped more misery on the Raiders.
Wigan old boy Nigel Wright's Barrow did show some spirit and occasionally threatened, most notably when a Mike Backhouse score was chalked off for a forward pass.
But the gulf in class was always likely to prove too much for the part-timers, especially as Warriors coach Michael Maguire fielded a near full-strength side.
Teenage forward Jack Hughes, 19, who made his debut, was the only unfamiliar face included.
Wigan coach Michael Maguire:
"Satisfied is probably the best word to use. We knew we were going to respect the opposition and I thought we did that by the way we defended our line and managed to put some good tries on.
"At times they gave us problems. They nearly crossed our line early in the game when they caught us short on the left. They created some good play.
"We were lucky there was a forward pass or they would have had some points on the board. But we wanted to make sure nobody crossed that white line and that is something we achieved."
Barrow coach Nigel Wright:
"We gave everything we could and we are not going to get judged on this scoreline. We'll get judged on our league performances.
"We spoke about the type of intensity we were going to face - the speed of lines and the floor work they do, these guys are probably the best at it in the country, if not rugby league.
"It has been a big learning curve and hopefully they have taken a lot from it."
