Challenge Cup round-up

Coverage: Score updates on BBC Radio 5 Live & the BBC Sport website, highlights on the Super League Show

Carnegie Challenge Cup

Championship One leaders Swinton earned a trip to Super League table toppers Warrington with a 44-38 Challenge Cup fourth round win at Dewsbury.

Super League-bound Widnes also made it to round five with a comfortable 62-18 win at London Skolars in Sunday's other all-Championship clash.

Widnes also have an attractive fifth round tie at home to Hull FC.

Featherstone Rovers were comfortable 42-16 winners against FC Lezignan-Corbieres on Saturday night.

All the damage was done at Post Office Road before the break as Rovers ran in seven tries.

Sam Smeaton (2), Jonny Hepworth, Nathan Chappel, Bryn Powell, Andy Kain and Ross Divorty all crossed to earn their side a 38-4 half-time lead.

Two of the South of France side's three tries came after the break, but Tommy Saxton added an eighth for Rovers.

Liam Finn landed five out of eight conversions for Featherstone.

With three-times winners Rovers accounting for Lezignan-Corbieres, that leaves just one French side left in.

Catalan Dragons had to come from behind to book their place in round five as they stretched their unbeaten run to eight games with a narrow 22-16 win at Leigh.

Last year's beaten semi-finalists were 10-0 down in 11 minutes after tries from Adam Higson and Tommy Goulden.

They came back with tries by Damien Blanch and Jean-Philippe Baile to go in only 12-10 down at the break.

Cyril Stacul put them in front before Ian Henderson sealed it late on, Stuart Donlan adding a late Leigh consolation.

Twice former Challenge Cup winners Leigh last won the famous old trophy in 1971.

But they have been going very well in the league this season and it was a first defeat in 14 games, in all competitions, for Ian Millward's Championship table toppers.

Ian Mort scored a try for Swinton and kicked eight goals for a 20-point haul in his side's victory at Dewsbury.

Phil Joseph (2), Rob Foxen, Gavin Dodd, Tommy Gallagher and Lee Wingfield also crossed for the Lions.

Dominic Brambani scored two tries and booted seven goals for Dewsbury in running up an individual 22-point haul, the Rams' other tries coming from Austin Buchanan (2), Pat Walker and Rob Spicer.

Widnes winger Paddy Flynn led the way in London with four tries, while Macgruff Leuluai got two and Thomas Coyle, Tangi Ropati, Richard Varkulis, Grant Gore, Ste Tyrer and Dave Allen all crossed too.

Tyrer also kicked seven goals for a personal haul of 18 points, the Skolars scoring through Jaroslaw Obuchowski, Dave Arnot and James Anthony.
