Kirk Yeaman
Yeaman has scored 11 tries in Super League this season

Kirk Yeaman scored twice as Hull FC stunned Super League leaders Warrington to earn their fourth win in six games.

Tries from Joel Monaghan and Rhys Williams, the second converted by Brett Hodgson, gave the Wolves a 10-0 lead.

But the visitors fought back, tries from Danny Houghton and Yeaman both being converted by Danny Tickle to put the visitors 12-10 up at half-time.

Warrington posed little threat after the break, and tries by Will Sharp and Yeaman gave Hull FC a deserved victory.

Warrington had moved to the Super League summit with Friday's hammering of Salford and they seemed set to consolidate their position when Matt King set up Monaghan's 10th try of the season.

Hodgson struck the upright with the conversion but that seemed to matter little when Williams raced over for his fourth try in three games - Hodgson this time making no mistake.

But Richard Agar's side, fresh from victory in the Hull derby, turned the tide.

After Richard Horne broke half the length of the field, Craig Fitzgibbon eventually created an opening for Houghton to score, Tickle kicking the first of four successful conversions.

The visitors went in front when Yeaman optimistically darted over from dummy half and could have held a greater advantage at the break had Ben Westwood not denied Horne.

The Wolves posed little threat to the visitors in the early part of the second half, and went further behind when substitute Sharp took the ball and ran 70 metres to score under the posts.

Warrington finally showed some urgency, and a Mick Higham try being ruled out for a forward pass.

But the Black and Whites were not to be denied, and Yeaman grabbed his second in the final minute after Adrian Morley lost possession.

Warrington coach Tony Smith:
"We didn't handle the day as well as we would have liked. We made too many errors with and without the ball.

"We tried to lift on occasions and get ourselves out of that but I felt some of our key players weren't at their best.

"About four or five were down on what you would expect. That makes it hard but hats off to Hull they have handled the short turnaround better than we did."

Hull coach Richard Agar:
"To get four points over Easter, considering the sides we have played, is a really good return and to back up Friday makes it a little bit more special for us.

"Warrington are a fantastic side who are going to be there or thereabouts at the end of the year.

"We hit hard, kept a straight line and worked our backsides off for each other."
