Super League play-offs 2010

Leeds Slam
Kevin Sinfield celebrates Leeds' third straight Grand Final win a year ago

St Helens and Leeds remain on track to meet in a fourth consecutive Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on 2 October after both won their opening-round play-off matches and earned a week off.

But Warrington and Wigan have a second chance to reach the semi-finals after losing their qualifying play-offs.

St Helens claimed yet another victory over Warrington at a rain-soaked Knowsley Road in Friday's first qualifying semi-final while Kevin Sinfield's late drop goal helped the reigning Super League champions to a 27-26 victory over Wigan in the other game.

It means St Helens have now won the Club Call for the right to decide who they play in the qualifying semi-finals on 24 or 25 September and will make their choice at a media conference next Sunday.

Next Friday, Wigan, who topped the table at the end of the regular season, will host Hull KR who claimed a famous win over city rivals Hull FC in the elimination play-offs while the following day Warrington will play Huddersfield, who defeated play-off debutants Crusaders in the other elimination match.
