Brough scored 16 points to bring his season total to 30
Wakefield's Danny Brough scored 16 points as his side continued their unbeaten run with a win over Leeds.
The home side dominated the first half, with tries from Sean Gleeson and Ben Jeffries and three goals from Brough.
An early second-half error from Leeds' Aaron Murphy meant Brough intercepted and ran the length of the pitch to cross the line for Wakefield.
Leeds staged a fight-back with Scott Donald scoring twice to add to Danny McGuire's first half try.
But it was too little too late for Rhinos, who have now lost two games on the bounce.
Wakefield maintain their place at the top of Super League, two points ahead of Warrington, Wigan and Hull.
Wakefield coach John Kear:
"The sweetest part of that was the performance, we've taken another step forward in these past two weeks.
"We started really well, completed lots of sets and played some great football. We really put them under pressure and that set the tone for the game.
"All 17 of the guys who were out there can sit back tonight and think 'I've done my job very well'."
Leeds coach Brian McClennan:
"It's disappointing we've come out on the wrong side, we let Wakefield get away from us too much.
"It was too big a mountain for us to climb, in the end we started to make some good progress in the fourth quarter. I liked some of the things we did, there are some positive signs.
"We gave away too much possession, we pushed the pass a little too much at times and didn't have our timing right."
