Nikau called to account
![]() Tawera Nikau may lose ever-present record
Warrington loose-forward Tawera Nikau has been summoned to face the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee on a charge of striking during Warrington's 26-4 Super League defeat at Wigan on Sunday.
The charge puts the former New Zealand international 's ever-present record with Warrington on the line. Nikau, who has not missed a match since his close-season move from Melbourne Storm, was involved in a bout of fisticuffs. Referee Steve Presley sent Andrew Gee (Warrington) and Mick Cassidy (Wigan) to the sin bin and placed the incident on report, although only Nikau has been referred. Wakefield back-row forward Warren Jowitt will also appear at Tuesday's disciplinary hearing after being referred by the RFL's executive on a charge of striking during the Wildcats' 27-22 win at London.
