Halifax face Vikings in Cup semis

Halifax will entertain Widnes and Barrow will host Featherstone in this year's Northern Rail Cup semi-finals.

The ties will be played from 18-21 June, with the final at Blackpool's Bloomfield Road on 12 July.

Halifax joined Widnes, Barrow and Featherstone in the last four by running in nine tries as they crushed Leigh 54-16 at The Shay.

The winners of this year's Northern Rail Cup will be eligible to apply for a Super League licence in 2011.

Barrow, the Championship leaders, held off a determined Dewsbury fightback to reach the semi-finals with a 20-18 win, while Widnes had to come from behind to beat York 44-18.

Featherstone were the first team to make the last four, coming from 12-6 down to record a 32-18 victory at Oldham.
