Aussie Thurston suffers tragedy

The uncle of Australia half-back Jonathan Thurston has been killed after being attacked in Brisbane.

Australia's opening World Cup match against New Zealand takes place in Sydney on Saturday and Thurston remains with the squad for now.

Kangaroos officials have announced the team will wear black armbands as a mark of respect for Richard Saunders.

It has been reported Saunders was attacked by a group of men in the Brisbane suburb of Logan.
