Hayne burst onto the scene in 2006, winning the Dally M Rookie of the Year award after scoring 17 tries in 16 NRL matches for the Parramatta Eels.
A magnificent solo try for New South Wales in last year's State of Origin catapulted the winger to greater fame, while he scored a fine individual effort on his Australia debut.
But Hayne, 20, has had his fair share of off-the-field drama, admitting in March to behaving "more like a rock star than a league star" after finding himself shot at in the early hours following a night on the town.
