Murrayfield will host seven games
St Helens will play arch-rivals Wigan in the 2009 Magic Weekend at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium.
Super League debutants Celtic Crusaders have been pitted against Huddersfield while Salford will take on Harlequins.
Leeds face Catalans Dragons, Hull FC take on Castleford, Warrington meet Hull KR and Wakefield tackle Bradford.
The Magic Weekend will be on 2 and 3 May but the dates on which the matches will be played have not yet been confirmed by the Rugby Football League.
The event moves to Edinburgh after two successful years in Cardiff.
Each team faced their closest derby rival at the Millennium Stadium, but the draw for next year's event divided 14 teams into three groups according to their finish in this year's Super League table.
RFL spokesman Craig Spence said moving the Magic Weekend to Edinburgh for the next two years is ostensibly to cater for the needs of supporters.
"We've had two fantastic years at the Millennium Stadium but Edinburgh offers far more opportunities than Cardiff," said Spence.
"There are nearly twice as many hotels and guesthouses - and a far wider range - and this gives rugby league supporters many more options when arranging their weekend.
"There are a million visitors to Edinburgh every year for the Edinburgh festival and it is a city well versed in coping with large numbers of visitors.
"Moving to Scotland ensures the Magic Weekend does not go stale and first and foremost, will provide an outstanding weekend's entertainment for the many thousands of fans who will attend."
