Ben Cockayne's second-half try proved crucial for Hull KR
Hull KR put in a determined display to secure a narrow victory over Bradford for their first win in four games.
Peter Fox and Clint Newton went over for first-half tries, with Paul Cooke converting and adding a penalty, while Semi Tadulala replied for the Bulls.
Ben Cockayne claimed a crucial try for the home side on 58 minutes, with Cooke adding the extras for a 20-6 lead.
With Newton sinbinned, Paul Sykes capitalised but David Solomona's try came too late as Hull KR held on.
• Hull KR coach Justin Morgan:
"I thought we missed enthusiasm and desire last week - and I thought we had that today. We should have won more comfortably than we did and thought we were
by far and away the better side for the entire 80 minutes.
"In the second half we could have been a bit better; I thought maybe we got a bit excited.
"But we have missed our 'grizzle' in recent weeks, and I thought we had that back. You can reel off half-a-dozen players who put in massive shots, and that gives you energy."
• Bradford coach Steve McNamara:
"We're very disappointed. We have missed an opportunity and we are feeling pretty sore about it.
"We lacked in a lot of areas. Hull KR ran harder than us and tackled harder in
the 80 minutes, and that's what happens.
"We were not as organised as we have been but we had enough capability and quality personnel out there that we should have done better."
