Newly-promoted Castleford have continued to strengthen with the signing of Australian back-rower Tom Haberecht on a 12-month contract.
The 22-year-old has not played in the National Rugby League, but was a regular for Balmain last season.
"He might not be well-known but he's a big, strong-running back-rower with a good offload," said Tigers football manager Michael Robinson.
"Tom fits in our plan of a squad with a number of young, enthusiastic players."
Haberecht is Castleford's sixth signing since they won promotion to Super League by defeating Widnes in the National League One grand Final.
