Second referee admits try error
Jordan Tansey celebrates his controversial try
Tansey's try at the Millennium Stadium has sparked controversy
Video referee Ashley Klein has admitted he was partly to blame for Leeds' wrongly awarded match-winning try against Bradford on Sunday.

Klein says he incorrectly told match referee Steve Ganson to give the all-important penalty from which the controversial last play ensued.

Ganson was set to let play continue before Klein made the call.

Ganson has already apologised for giving Jordan Tansey's try as replays showed the Leeds player was offside.

The Rugby Football League (RFL) has also said that Klein's intervention contravened their video referee policy.

Both Ganson and now Klein have been dropped from officiating duties for this weekend's Challenge Cup fifth-round ties.

That decision is likely to reflect badly on the RFL as Ganson and Klein are both among the six new full-time referees employed by the League.

Bradford had called on the RFL to explain Klein's role in the decision-making process which led to them losing the match 42-38 at the death.
