Premier Wales Round 3 round-up
An excellent ball-handling display from Cardiff Demons gave them a 44-18 win over Torfaen Tigers, who had never lost to the capital side.

Miles Davies gave the Demons the lead in the fourth minute after a good drive from Graham Hughes. Gareth Jones converted.

Torfaen equalised ten minutes later when Damien Hudd crossed in the corner and Matt Entwhistle successfully kicking a tricky conversion.

Gareth Jones gave the Demons the advantage again in the 19th minute, beautifully swerving past three before placing under the sticks. Matt Jackson added a try third just three minutes later.

Damien Hudd got one back for Torfaen following a debateable off-side decision, but Gareth Jones ran in for two converted tries in five minutes to give the Demons a three-try cushion at half-time.

Andre Boon extended the Demons' advantage before the Tigers hit back through Steve Mayley.

Two quick tries the followed - a 75-metre run from Austin Saunders and one from debutant Adam King made it 44-14.

And the Tigers had the last say as Jamie Juene scored in the corner for another unconverted try.

Newport Titans ran in the first ever 100-pointer in the Welsh Conference, beating a severely understrength Swansea Valley Miners 106-16.

Swansea had nine first choice players out, and they paid a hefty price as an awesome Newport performance yielded 19 tries.

Newport took the lead in the first five minutes through Ross Palmer before Swansea hit back through tries from Gethin Daniel and Steve John to give them the lead for the only time in the match.

From then on it was one-way traffic. Tries from Ryan James, Kirk Johnson, Pete Ovey (2), Owen Jones, Mark Wheeler (2), Scott Hirene and Ben Morris made it 44-10 at half-time.

Neil McKim kicked seven conversions.

Owen Jones (2), Ross Palmer (2), Mike Pugsley, Mark Wheeler, Pete Ovey, Kirk Johnson and Richard Davies continued the rout after the break.

Conversions were added by Ovey, Palmer, Johnson, Davies and McKim.

Swansea had the last word with a Christian Roets try and a Simon Bevan conversion ¿ his second of the day.

Bridgend Blue Bulls strolled to a 68-14 win over Valley Cougars at Maesteg to stay unbeaten.

Kevin Ellis set up the first try, breaking through the defence and slipping a pass to Gareth James who went over.

A good passing move enabled Grant Epton to get the second before Lenny Woodard ran the length of the pitch for a third. Jon Williams converted all three.

Ellis added a brace for Bridgend, either side of on-loan Nathan Strong hitting back for the Cougars.

Adrian Owen added another for the Cougars just before half-time to make the score 30-10.

Bridgend's Geraint Lewis opened the second half by scoring in the corner before on-loan Allan Bateman hit back again for the Cougars.

But from then on, it was Bridgend who ruled the roost at Maesteg.

Grant Epton got two more scores; Gareth James ran in under the sticks for his second; Lloyd Connor also crossed as did debutants Hywel Griffiths and Daryl Dyke.

Jon Williams added five more conversions.
